The rookeries are open. Tribal/Federal Law does not restrict access to rookeries and haul outs, however, it is against the law to disturb marine mammals. Be considerate of the seals before accessing the rookery and potentially causing a disturbance. NOAA Enforcement will patrol the rookeries for human disturbance of marine mammals. If you’re uncertain about rookery access, disturbance regulations or have any questions, call ECO-3200.

CBSFA has 4 openings: Shore Support Laborers. It is temporary, up to 8-10 hours per day, 5-6 days per week. Tentative start date is Tuesday, June 13th to Monday, September 18th. Responsibilities: prepare and maintain a safe jobsite, assist in local halibut fishery tendering operations – mainly icing, storing and backloading halibut. Qualifications: must be at least 18 years of age, must be able to lift 70 pounds and must have ability to work with others and follow directions of the SNP Halibut Operations Supervisor.
