ECO’s BRAIDED mercury monitoring project is at the Bering Sea Research Center located in the Boat Repair Facility. To help provide information that strengthens confidence in the health and benefits of traditional marine resources. Tissue samples will be measured for mercury concentrations. Samples tested are: seal, sea lion, reindeer, birds and fish. Samples can include parts of the animal you eat, like muscle and liver. For more information contact ECO-615-5319.

The food bank is open Mondays-Fridays and distributes foods to households in need with limited delivery provided to Elders and disabled without means of transportation. To sign up for a box and to schedule your afternoon pick up, phone 907-615-5300 between 8am-12noon.
